That would of been me. The sector commander said it was getting close and I wasn't close enough to see you, so I gave the bomber the command. It wasn't like anyone else was clearing the drop zones when I was even there and telling them. Hope it hasn't mentally scarred you. lol.

nah im all good, when i say called for waterbomber i meant i called for it to be dropped on 4.4 not the crew. just thought id point that out incase of any confusion. but yes it did get quite hairy at times

I was in the Kwn Sth 4.4. It's hard trying to get around a fire ground in a hurry in a big appliance, especially when your trying to keep out of everyone elses way so they can fight the fire in UXO area.

Don't worry your not the first people I've every bombed and you won't be the last. Rocky 1st LT got filled with foam at one fire I was ground controller at many years ago when we first got water bombers. All the vollies thought it was funny at the time.

LOL I'll bet.
Haha Millsy, you get a bit wet? :P At least the fire would have helped dry you off a bit.
But it sounds like when Enviro is around you need to have everything waterproofed!

I'm trying to guess which one you are, I'm pretty sure you came and spoke to me while I was doing Logs at the I/C.

There was an older gentleman, a Shaved head, and another bloke on the 4.4 if i remember correctly?

I'm the shaved head one. I've spoken to you before at the Forestdale fire (the one before yesterday) when you were up there with your Capt.

lol yay,the baldivi 4.4 brew didn get outta the drop zone n 605 had to abort lol after enviro told them to clear the drop zone 4 or 5 times lol.

sweet pics millsy

oh yeah, for those who criticise our pictures, why would we take a slr camera or a proper camera there for taking pictures when we are being called there to do a job, most of the time in a situation like that,if ur in a heavy or a LT ur usually doing something and the only time we get to take pics is if wer waiting for soemthign or filling up the vehicles, were not paparzzi and im sure i speak to all of us who posted pics in this thread,we just wanted for everyone to see what that fire was like...no to make photographic pictures.
