Major fires 2006/07
Moderator: bogged
hey members, i was just thinking if i should say this or not but i dont know if tis normal or not but last saturday at about 630am i saw midland LT and medium tanker come from mandaring. they were entering the town site. it was quite weird because it was 20mins outta midland??can anyone answer this?? or if its normal..
My guess luke is that they were up there for a fire call. Its not uncommon for fringe career stations to go some distance out of there area. eg. rockingham will turn out to t/a , house fire in serpintine. Thats way out of there area.luke wrote:hey members, i was just thinking if i should say this or not but i dont know if tis normal or not but last saturday at about 630am i saw midland LT and medium tanker come from mandaring. they were entering the town site. it was quite weird because it was 20mins outta midland??can anyone answer this?? or if its normal..

Yeah midland generally turns out to all Mundaring calls, as we're all vollies, so they can generally get going a bit quicker, and on occasion, stand us down if it's a 44 or small 66.

If stupidity got me into this mess, why can't it get me out.

'Fifty firefighters operating six pumps and two aerial water cannons contained the blaze at about 6.30am today, but not before it caused damage estimated at several million dollars.'

Went to my brother's for lunch and drove past the markets to get there. I knew nothing about it until I got alongside and noticed all the twisted metal and smoke.firefly.000 wrote:cant believe no one has mentioned the Midland Military Markets fire. Was a big working job, unfortunately not much saved.
I'm sure it'll get good coverage on tonight's news.
