hey members, i was just thinking if i should say this or not but i dont know if tis normal or not but last saturday at about 630am i saw midland LT and medium tanker come from mandaring. they were entering the town site. it was quite weird because it was 20mins outta midland??can anyone answer this?? or if its normal..

My guess luke is that they were up there for a fire call. Its not uncommon for fringe career stations to go some distance out of there area. eg. rockingham will turn out to t/a , house fire in serpintine. Thats way out of there area.

Yeah midland generally turns out to all Mundaring calls, as we're all vollies, so they can generally get going a bit quicker, and on occasion, stand us down if it's a 44 or small 66.

I think that just applies to certain areas. Generally if theres a fire in our district we get turned out on our own unless its a report of structural in which case its Midland, Mundaring and ourselves (Glen Forrest)

cant believe no one has mentioned the Midland Military Markets fire. Was a big working job, unfortunately not much saved.

I just saw it on the news :S went up pretty good did anyone hear it on the scanner ?

Went up about 5am this morning apprantley, sprinklers were fitted but may have not been working.

8 pumps whilst I was there being the above and pumps from Malaga, Belmont, Welshpool, Perth, Daglish and Claremont aswell as SET, ICV, 2 ladders, numerous DM's, hazmat officer, MLO, FIO and other agencies

Went to my brother's for lunch and drove past the markets to get there. I knew nothing about it until I got alongside and noticed all the twisted metal and smoke.

I'm sure it'll get good coverage on tonight's news.
