FR201

Post by Tom »

G'day Folks,

Saw FR201 today parked at the Joondalup Academy.

Does anyone know where this is from as FR doesn't appear on the Police Call Signs, 2001 listing.

Was a VZ sedan with spotties and had one of those HF/Condan aerials on the back.

PM is fine or just reply.

cheers

Tom

At a guess, the F stands for the name of a district, and the R stands for regional.

With a Codan HF antenna on the back i'd say it's a regional or remote vehicle just visiting the metro area.

I saw the same vehicle parked at Mullewa Police Station in March. The old spreadsheet lists FI as Mullewa. Maybe Mullewa's callsign has changed to FR and maybe Denham is FI as Denham is not listed?

WPXZBP, keep up the great work.

Just a couple of corrections which are mostly my own fault for not being clear with details.

The rodeo's in Gero are 4wd, 107 is a ford not landcruiser and all there fords have cages not pods.

Also seen another FR201 white VZ with VLB although once again not sure of its origin....
Yep seen "FR" in Geraldton back in Feb so its from that region somewhere but wasn't sure of its exact location

FR201 is still parked up at the Joondalup Academy this morning along with:

YX201- Wyalcatchem
RJ201- Collie

Also saw these parked in the visitors car-park: NJ107, NX103 (the Mitsy Triton), TW105 and NC616.

Few unmarkeds, but I don't have any interest in them.

cheers

Does it have the new HWP markings? might be a replacement as the one I seen only had standard markings.

Negative, it's just got the standard markings.

It's a very worn looking VZ sedan.
