Car with no callsign?

Post by PD224 »

I saw a Dongara car today, a white highway patrol car but it had no callsign. Only FD printed across the bonnet. Could anyone tell me why? Could it have anything to do with a new car or test car or something?

You are aware the only the "letters" are on the bonnet? the numbers are on the roof and the full callsign is on each rear corner. Also maybe it has recently had a bingle, they repair the panel but often the markings take a little while to be done.

Sorry all, I can't let this one pass. PD224... You SAW a Dongara car today :roll: . The word sore means (among other medico-physical things);

"n. An open skin lesion, wound, or ulcer.
adj. Painful to the touch; tender."

:lol: No... because when i went to school everyone was taught, and learnt, how to spell and write properly. Writing correctly actually saves time and effort by eliminating ambiguity and misinterpretation and the need to keep reading something over and over trying to work out what the author means :roll: . Simply re-reading a post before hitting the 'submit' button could eliminate a whole raft of typographical errors.

...And yes my children hate the fact that i am a spelling and grammar nazi, and yet family, workmates and friends all come to me to write or proof-read their letters and documents :wink:

Everyone should read a book now and then... just for fun, or maybe even to learn something.

PS it's YOU, not U, and WASTE not WAIST, and i'm not trying to make myself look better, i'm trying to make you make yourself look better :)
