A mixture of station and appliance shots from Port & South Hedland:
Pilbara District Office in Port Hedland
This is Port Hedland Fire Station. Thanks to the Brigade Captain (who i believe is roodog???) who let me in to the station to take the pics and happily rolled out MP67 for the photos.
Port Hedland LT340
Port Hedland LT252 (thanks for the info roodog )
Port Hedland MP67 (The mysterious 'white rhino')
South Hedland Fire Station
Spotted this classic old Bedford appliance in a shed out the back of the South Hedland station. Sorry about the quality, it was taken through a fence and my old camera doesn't have optical zoom

not sure what your asking, (how did we manage to get the white pump)
i think your asking why was Port Hedland allocated a white Scania Medium Pumper. let me know what you want to know and if i can i will give you the answer. the Scania details etc started a bit before i joined the Brigade.
cheers and Beers John
what i meant was how did u manage to get a white pump when every other pump is red...like fesa wouldve taken a bit of talking around??
have u ever heard of them taking the pump off you guys??
MP67 was in the pipeline before i joined, i am led to believe that the then members asked if it could be white, the response from FESA was no problem, but there were others, elsewhere who voiced there opinion, i don,t want to get into a debate on this.
no i haven,t heard anything about FESA removing our Scania and i don,t think they will.
have a safe weekend all
john
Do many other VFRS stations share facilities with SES? Kalbarri FRS have one side of the building and SES the other (Fire to the left of the picture http://www.frsvols.asn.au/NZone/Kalbarri.htm and SES on the right which is cut off).
