hmm, maybe they went light on to midland station, but from midland we all went normal road. I think wanneroo were at that incident earlier in the fire, when it was still burning, and they may have turned out with lights on.

Is it only me, this doesn't make any sense at all :? :? took me a few times to read to understand...maybe i'm getting old

Why would an emergency vehicle travel in normal road conditions with lights and sirens... :smt017

hmmm I know a couple of the wanneroo people drive close to the speed limit etc. under firecall conditions but then they use the lights and sirens to clear the path ahead from obstructions so they're not slowing down all the time. Might take a couple of minutes longer to get to the fire, but at least they get there safely. But I don't think they'd be using Firecall conditions on route to a mop up.

Was there for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Our LT wasn't much use on our sector, with the number of 2.4s and 3.4s there. Especially as we were pretty much on the road the whole time...
