I know what Tom is trying to say and in a way i kinda agree, though the police place this information in the public domain over freely accessible radio channels, in my listening experience the officers will resort to mobile phone or scrambled channels to convey senstitive information...and i really dont think the hardened criminals of perth are sitting here reading the posts on this forum to stay one step ahead of our wonderful boys and girls in blue. But i think what both Tom and Zebedee are saying is maybe a little less of the blow by blow descriptions and direct quoting from transmissions would be appreciated. Afterall we are all listening anyway arent we??.
While we are having a rant....heres mine.... I would like to see less of the "FATALITY".....or "DEAD BODY HERE" type posts...sure discuss the fact the crash has happened on what channel and where.....but please remember these people are someones family or friend.
-End Rant

Good call mate, And if everyone else is having a rant ... Could we possibly stop in the minute buy minute post about a event that happens on the radio ? These events will happen every day and probly don't need to be posted as a running commentry .. Perhaps a single post at the end explaing what happened , when ect ect... Anyways thats my lil whinge for the yr ...

. . . but if you WANT to talk about what you're hearing on the scanner, there's always our #radioscanner IRC channel on Austnet... :-)
