If it's an Erickson it's an Aircrane :)

The Air crane should be off loaded at Fremantle Port over the next couple of days. It will be then assembled and flown to Jandakot where it will be based for the trial period.

N243AC has arrived and at the Freo Docks, I am pretty sure she will be flown to Jandakot at some stage tomorrow.

Its good to see you care so much about how much we care about these things :)

Due to the size of the chopper it might not work well with the existing fleet as the clearance required might actually hinder the effectiveness of the existing fleet.

Thanks - understand all of that. But I am sure on the major fires "the big boys' will be called out regardless. I know I will now get several lessons by those in the know on the area it can be deployed and the discussion for and against the volume of water and spread and best case scenario of its use compared to the regular fleet of air support.

Stay safe this summer

Aircrane is at Jandakot airport. Near to the FESA hanger.
