A BABY has survived being hurtled 20m from his mother's car when it was hit by another in a Perth suburb this monring.
The child's mother has been charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm following the crash, which happened in Nollamara.
Police said the 36-year-old woman allegedly reversed her car out of a driveway and onto the street but did not see two cars approaching from behind.
A car hit the rear of hers, spinning it around.
The impact propelled a capsule containing the three-month-old baby out of a window and onto a grass verge, police said.
The child was taken to Princes Margaret Hospital with head injuries.
His mother will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on August 15.
