Bike rider was clocked in the South-West at 249Km/hr.

The solution apparently is to put more cameras in to deter "reckless speeding". I'm not sure how a speed camera, which has an upper limit of around 200Km/hr and is designed mainly to clock drivers a couple of Km/hr over the normal posted limit going to stop people from driving over twice the maximum state speed limit on vehicles with no front number plates...
Maybe someone can explain it to me?
Has anyone in gov't thought about providing a safe outlet for people who have high performance vehicles and want to drive fast in a controlled environment? (no other traffic and no trees!). Abandoned runway, anyone? -- it works for mythbusters!

If you join the WA Sporting Car Club for $200 a year you get to drive your road car on the Barbagallo racetrack in in Wanneroo for a nominal fee at any of the 25 or so tuning days they hold throughout the year. (Plus all the other benefits of membership such as free entry to all events throughout the year including V8 Supercars and Truck Racing weekends)vk6hgr wrote:Has anyone in gov't thought about providing a safe outlet for people who have high performance vehicles and want to drive fast in a controlled environment? Or for the drag-racing types, there's the aforementioned Quit Motorplex in Kwinana. I've no idea what the costs are to enter as a competitor...
