Royal show display
I have to admit the best part off the royal show for me use to be the police display.I get there and its like nothing.Half empty. There was a dirty country personal carrier. No guns, flashing lights nothing. Not even Costable care.May be part off the cut backs.Any one else go?

Re: Royal show display
That's funny... because the West Australian last week ran a story on this years Police Exhibition at the Royal Show. Described large static displays, a section on the history of regional policing and a display talking about police killed on duty. Maybe the exhibition has been relocated??

I can remember 'back in the day' when they had the Police Precision Drivers on display in the centre arena (think F/A-18 Blue Angels... without the wings).
Didn't end well either

Re: Royal show display
I didnt see no dirty troop carrier BUT they did have a brown hilux with no decals no lights with a secure pod on the rear that was build by VARLEY Enterprises.
I remember YEARS ago when they had the 18+ section and showed the scenes off fatal MVA's
Quite dissapointed this year they had squat the only good thing was the re runs off the force.

That Hilux sounds like the Custody Officer vehicle. No markings, but lock up pod on the back for prisoner transport.

Here's some photos of the Hilux

When I first saw it, it had a yellow WA police card for parking but when I saw it 2 days ago, it looked like it belonged to the AFP
