Maybe I have gone crazy but I have listened to heaps of pursuits and Im sure (at least I was sure) that drivers given P2 have reported their speed as 140km? Maybe I am wrong?

FYI..

Most Crashes are called either as a (315) or a (215) and If its only a Minor Bingle, It will be called as a (415)

The officers will ONLY change the code to a (316) if The Crash becomes Fatal. I have never heard of a 216. 215 is the code if Serious Injuries have been reported by the Caller. If the Caller has said someone is DEAD, they will automatically go 215 and The VKI operater will state, Possible 316.

Hope this clears everything up.
A!

[quote="Chicky"]Thanks guys for all your input - It's all coming together nicely and blanks are getting filled :D

Would like to know if there are any descriptions for the following codes:

205/305
221/321
227/327
237/337

And if there are P2 jobs for codes 213,214,217,223,224,236,238,240,242,243,245,246,247,248,249,250 and 253.

The rest I am working out between everyone's contribution.

Try these...
246 - Violent/Extremely Intoxicated Person
247 - Dangerous Animal
248 - Urgent Welfare Check
249 - Urgent Missing Person

All Suicide/Self Harm Jobs that I have heard have been dipatched as 251,351,451 (depending on circumstances) yet these codes are not exclusively for Suicide/Self Harm jobs

all 46 codes relating to drunks have been dropped
47 is an injured animal
48 is correct as stated
the 16 codes are terminology and don't actually exist and haven't since the transition to CAD

Almost complete now - am getting heaps of info from everywhere. Again thanks to all :D

Still wondering if there are job codes for a 205 and 221?

Also I have 204 as Homicide - Offender Decamped - is this correct? If so what would be 304/404 job descriptions???? I would assume that a 2** job would be with offenders still on premises, a 3** code would be with them decamped and a 4** being some type of unconfirmed report?

Cheers

I was under the impression 205,305,405 related to Armed Offender/ Armed in Public kind of jobs

And I'm unsure as to accuracy of....

204 - Homicide Offender On Premises
304 - Homicide Offender Decamped
404 - Attempted Homicide/Threat To Kill

Hope it helps if at all

I've got armed offender on premises as 206, not 205. Unless I am wrong??? But the info I got given was pretty reliable 8)

Am hoping someone could finalise these for me as it's 99% complete.

:D In the city POCCC (Police Operations Centre Communications Controller) can authorise a vehicle to exceed 140kph. POCCC is an Inspectors job but there are a couple of acting ones at the moment. They have the same authority as a real inspector except for authorisation of hoon seizures.

In the country the DO (Superintendent) or ADO (Inspector) can authorise a vehicle to exceed 140kph.

Again these are only Commissioners GUIDELINES and any breach is a disciplinary matter not a criminal/traffic offence as the overriding authority is the Road Traffic Code which does not contain speed caps.

The strong rumour is that the 140kph cap is about to go out the window and more emphasis on time, place and circumstance. Especially when the AVL's come on line in the cars it will certainly make it more accountable.

Hey guys i saw this a while ago and thought you might enjoy a good chuckle...

HOW TO READ AN EVENT FOR A PURSUIT

Whilst on routine patrol a suspicious vehicle came under notice
We saw a WRX

We conducted surveillance on the vehicle
We decided to follow it until it did something wrong

The vehicle breached the traffic act
We clocked it doing 68 Km/H in a 60 zone

We attempted to conduct a routine vehicle stop but the vehicle of interest failed to stop.
We had forgotten to turn the siren on!

After failing to pull over for 100 metres the vehicle of interest suddenly decamped
We found the siren and he put his foot down.

An attempt to inform VKG was met with no reply.
The radio was turned off.

The vehicle of interest was travelling at no less than 70km/h and no more than 80 km/h through a medium suburban street
He was doing 120km/h down the main drag of Cronulla

VKG responded and we informed them of the pursuit.
We turned the radio back on.

The vehicle of interest was driving contrary to the road rules and endangering the public
He was now doing 150km/h on the wrong side of the road, through a red light in a school zone

The vehicle of interest collided with a parked car doing minor damage
I lost the back end of the caged truck on a corner and bumped the parked car trying to straighten up

The driver of the vehicle of interest was showing callous disregard for the Office of the Law.
He was getting away from us.

The vehicle of interest was doing not less than 80km/h and not more than 100km/h in a light-medium traffic
He was doing 160 Kays on Kingsway in peak hour.

The vehicle of interest momentarily lost control, causing it's tyres to lose traction with the road and the vehicle to slide sideways
He did the coolest handbrakie.

At the same corner the Police car also lost traction but not to the extent of the vehicle of interest.
I tried to do the handbrake turn and almost rolled the Rodeo

The vehicle of interest unsuccessfully tried to evade Police
Man these V6 Rodeos fly!

The vehicle of interest reduced his speed dramatically as if he had lost the will to continue this futile battle with Police.
He blew a tyre.

The vehicle of interest slowed for no apparent reason
He accidentally pulled into a dead end street

The vehicle of interest stopped suddenly and reversed deliberately impacting the front of the Police vehicle
He stopped and we ran up his arse

The POI exited the vehicle of interest and decamped as backup Police arrived
The bastard made us run after him.

The POI was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and placed under arrest with the assistance of other crews
The new guy actually caught him, but he's an idiot, so we took the credit.

The POI was wanted on a number of other warrants and matters such that it took the remainder of the shift to properly charge him
No one could remember how to use the Charge Management System.

The POI was charged with the matters now before the court.
The end.
