Negative Kwn, the frs strike team turned out to lancelin. Dm newburn is team leader

grass/scrub Fire Bunning Rd

Must be big can see the plum from Bakers Hill

Mundaring 2.4 turning out
Gidgiegannup on scene and Mt Helena turning out more appliances needed.

whelshpool 1st and Mundaring ICV turning out.

Was initially classified as a 2nd Alarm and that's what Darlington were paged to assist with.
I would imagine that it has been or will be upgraded shortly.

A friendly reminder to all - this thread is used by folks with mobile phones to keep abreast of fires that may be impacting on themselves or their property. Please keep the posts here on topic relating FACTS about CURRENT fires. Anything not referring to actual bush/scrub fires in progress need to go elsewhere. Rumours and "I think I heard" comments are not welcome as it can cause distress.

Joondalup called a 5th alarm scrub fire. Neaves Rd, Banksia Grove.

There are no lives or homes threatened by the fire. Although there is no immediate danger you need to keep up to date in case the situation changes.
WHAT TO DO:
People living in the area need to be alert and watch for signs of fire.
You should:
· Close all doors and windows
· Turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible
People living in the area need to be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site and take their advice.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
Fire crews are on the scene and helitacs and water bombers have been mobilised to assist ground crews.
The incident was reported at 3.40pm today.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke. They should also be aware of emergency services personnel working on site and take their advice.

3rd Alarm Scrub/grass fire in Jane Brook today/this evening

Midland Pump + LT1 + LT2
Bassendean Pump + LT
Belmont Pump + LT
Darlington LT1 + LT2
Shire of Mundaring LT (Currently at Darlington Station - My great voice running the radio, all compliments in another thread, no abuse accepted)
Glen Forrest LT1 + LT2

Water Authority Support
AH20? possibly 205
Western Power vehicle
DM Corporate Training - something like that anyway.

Incident started around 1805, Darlington/Glenn Forrest crews off the fireground, Belmont all off the fireground approx 2100. East Swan and Bassendean were gone when we left, Midland probably left around 2130 or so.
