I guess you mean destined for a RAAF base since it has the Transfield logo. Nice pics, thanks!

Sometimes... unlike Perth, they dont have flight movements *every* day on base. They also have a couple of 2.4's at RAAF Pearce.

I believe from when we did some training out with Aviation Fire Fighting and Rescue that they are able to respond to incidents within a 1km radius of the airport but depending on the type and size of aircraft that are moving about the airport they have to have a certain level of coverage. So if they are off site and there is a big plane coming in they can't land till Fire and Rescue are back on station hence why they don't like going off the airport that often.

They have to be able to respond to the anywhere in the airport within a 1 minute period hence why some of the larger airports have smaller satellite stations.

The Perth Intl Airport fire trucks respond to any emergency with in the Perth airport estate, if the fire alarm goes off at Coles, 1 airport truck will respond, the car that rolled over at the 1st round about on Hoire Miller next to Cummin's, one of the airport trucks responded, or they are often seen down at the new Subway, I quite often see them driving out side the airside fence on priority.

They are building a new fire station and moving them from the old control tower, this i believe is part of the master plan, 1st build the fire station, then the new runway, the new station is currently under construction over by the threshold of runway 24 on the southern side

So they should respond to those Incidents it is Federal land and as such those companys in that erea do not pay any ESL Rates and as such they should supply there own service, Not saying our appliances should not be responding there but only on confirmed calls not false alarms and Minor incidents. Just my opinnion thats all

Well thats just stupid in my eyes. If a DBA, Fire or MVA occured anywhere the nearest appliance should be dispatched.

In this case, if its near the airport surroundings then the airport tenders should be dispatched according to levels of protection required at the airport [not like we have 747 / 777's landing every hour]

Same goes for VFAS, if their tender is equipped with the equipment needed for the job and they have the staff they should go first, whoever is closer.

I’d rather have tender[s] rolling to the scene than a tender
I've closed the door!

Written you totaly missed my point!! it was about who pays not whi the best to go, I was making the point that the federal land users should be made to pay Just the same as everyone else.
