What products do you want?!?
Re: What products do you want?!?
Have a GP339 Motorola - the monitor has decided to not work - is there anything that you could recommend?
Also, programming leads with correct program for this model to be able to add and remove freqs as req?

Re: What products do you want?!?
local repair for the radio itself, or fix under warranty if possible, or buy a new one!
as for the leads:
dont want to give away all my secret distributors...haha but i think this is what your after?
http://www.asiaradiosales.com/index.php ... cts_id=935
If not have a search on DX PORTAL. I havnt had a massive search but their isnt much in Australia. Will look at getting a few or making some up.
Here is a link to the developer site from motorola, could be interesting.
http://developer.motorola.com/products/ ... ios/gp339/
For software, I will chase down a few generic type programming programs (does that make sense) and post them in the "software" section of my site.
as for the mounts, im 99% sure i can get the one that DSE isnt selling, will have to wait a coouple days to confirm.
Cheers

Diamond makes one thats similar (I think its better). Have one on my car, overnighted by Andrews Comms.meg wrote:Dick Smith are stopping selling these bonnet/boot antenna mounts which is a shame - I like them

So if you're able to source those it'd be useful!

Re: What products do you want?!?
I want to see someone in Perth who sells (and always keeps in stock) all sorts of radio comms type connectors, adapters, for example SMA > BNC and SO-239 > BNC etc etc.
It seems to be a nightmare trying to find them these days. Some of the more fiddly not-so-popular type things that DSE and Jaycar used to sell but no longer seem to be interested in selling...

Bonez, work with me here.
This is one of my goals. Send me a list of your preferred connectors and i will add them to the list. I am in the process of putting together a list and sourcing them.
Im also putting together a few adapter kits. Small portable in case type thing.
Cheers

What do WACB sell in the way of connectors? I've never been there.
RadioGearPro have pretty much every adaptor you can think of and free shipping for most stuff.

Re: What products do you want?!?
SMA and Reverse SMA connectors as well as adapters seem to be among the ones that WACB carry that noone else does (she says after an emergency trip there this arvo!)

Yeah I will second that. Especially crimp coax connectors, plus coax at reasonable prices, like LMR240 or similar.Bonez wrote:I want to see someone in Perth who sells (and always keeps in stock) all sorts of radio comms type connectors, adapters, for example SMA > BNC and SO-239 > BNC etc etc.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those who do not.

I bought SMA and RPSMA from Jaycar and Altronics about 12 months ago. I hope P* didn't slug you too much attaching the bits to the other bits.meg wrote:SMA and Reverse SMA connectors as well as adapters seem to be among the ones that WACB carry that noone else does (she says after an emergency trip there this arvo!)
