nice pics mate. i could shed some light on that unknown LT. judging by the store across the road and the shrubs around the vehicle, i can tell you that it was parked in the carpark of Prosser Toyotas service centre in canningvale. it looks brand new and is most probly there having either a genuine toyota accessory fitted or there for a repair.

just a few more.... Welshpools MP was enroute to the same incident as the ambo on priority... major MVA... Car took out a wooden power pole at high speed.... me thinks the guy might of been evading police judging by the fact 3 "black cars" passed me priority aswell as numerous marked WApol cars...

nice work with working out where it was! haha yeah it was @ Prosser's C.vale... i go there quite regularly...

I mentioned it was 'unknown' due to the fact i guess it hasnt been allocated a station yet? (no ID on the side)
cheers mate!

ah, gotcha. i live near there so i know the area. suprising that it had dealer plates on even tho its already decked out. surely it would have been registered when it was at the body builders having the back done.

well i just noticed thats its not BRAND new... its not the newer shape V8 diesels.... it had dealer plates on it... maybe it was being transferred???

I have seen some new LT's at another large dealership i frequent and they havn't hade number plates and they were basically road ready... its the same with the SJA ambos based on landcruiser chassis....

My understanding is they come to the dealer as the standard vehicle.. head off to the body builders... come back to the dealership yard to have "Pre Delivery" work completed before they are handed over?!

I'm taking a stab here, JUST A STAB......but i noticed that the tray body has the reflective strip and the cab doesn't have any markings at all. The back seems to have some signs of use such as dirt on mudflaps and under tray and i also noticed the absence of a foam container. These things lead me to believe that it could have:

1. been in and had a respray or panel work done on the cab
2. been involved in a crash, cab was a right off, so they got another chassis and stuck the original body on the back

any one with any other suggestion as to why, please share, im curious now.......

Agreed. The new vehicles come with a different pump than whats on that tray. Also looks like the old style front bullbar.

Other giveaway is the butterfly valves on the delivery and quickfill. They haven't used these in a few years now.

Wouldn't say the cab is new.. you can't actually buy the non-V8 cab-chassis new anymore.
