Subiaco Oval - Western Force vs Red = Accident

Post by written_ficton »

We responded to this on Friday, looked pretty messy. Passenger taken away, driver arrested for x 2 over legal limit. Car writeoff & pole damage to be in excess of $20k

That is very close to Gate 19 of Subi Oval.

Which is where I usually am when on duty with VFAS.

Who was injured WF - the DUI or another passenger?

G

EDIT - WOOPS - I find that re-reading what has been written solves my question :P

Write off???? Doesn't look too bad from the pics that were posted but I guess it's not the whole picture. Only twice the legal limit. People over here are sober/having withdrawl seizures at that level. E.g. ask them how much grog have you had and they reply will be X casks (of goon usually). 2 or more is usual but i have had someone say 10 and funnily enough even though they were probably sharing i think they still had at least one to themselves.

Often the chassis will be twisted so that even if it can be straightened it will drive/handle badly.

I really don't understand why people drink as much as they do and why after everything that has been said and done, they still think they are right to drive.

I am no car expert, but it seems that the front chassi was bent & damage under the car. I was too interested in the light pole & making sure the scene was taped off.

I drive past this scene, and wonder how the hell it happened, alcohol explains it!
