FESA frequencies

Re: FESA frequencies
The old midband radio network will stay in operation for as long as the shires maintain the repeaters. Once the WAERN is rolled out FESA will no longer service the old gear. Some shires have already express interest in continued use.
Re: FESA frequencies
Some shires also have a license on the same frequency and use the repeaters for their council vehicles. Chan 28 in Gingin is licensed to FESA & The Shire, and I'm sure there are many others (hence the above?).Nick wrote:The old midband radio network will stay in operation for as long as the shires maintain the repeaters. Re: FESA frequencies
WAERN Channel 306, but the best I find is channel 141 (For 6AR/6IP).

Re: FESA frequencies
There are a, b, and c channels also licensed by the shires that have different ctcss frequencies so the fire guys dont have to put up with shire traffic but the shire can come on board if needed. These are having to be factored by the project team.

Re: FESA frequencies
306 is working well for me even in the city, I haven't tried 141.yorky wrote:WAERN Channel 306, but the best I find is channel 141 (For 6AR/6IP).

Re: FESA frequencies
I believe its a low Wattage UHF repeater link. So if you're in line of site to where ever that tower is you can sometimes get it through that link.

Re: FESA frequencies
If you're in Wanneroo area, use 78.075Mhz. The repeater is in Wanneroo. (I know, its not WAERN but its the best you're going to get in the area)nra555 wrote:yeah, i dont seem to pick up 141 or 306 up very well, just static 451.075mhz works better for the moment

The only place that frequency belongs to is Airservices Australia at Perth Airport.
