Just heard Kalamunda BFB turning out to Mundaring Weir Rd, no other details. Had an email from some people in Glen Forrest who can smell smoke...

edit: Sawyers Valley also turning out. There are some problems locating the fire.

My mate called me at midnight last night and asked if I knew anything about the bright orange glow coming from behind his house. I said that I was in bed and knew nothing about it, he then messaged me 5 min later and said that he could hear sirens comming. My friend is on forest road I think.

From what they were saying on the radio last night, it was down near the river in a gully - not on Gt Eastern. It was a 15 hectare fire from the newspaper report, how big is Beelu?

edit: a quick google shows that Beelu is around Mundaring Weir, so not that close to the highway at all and west of Sawyers Valley (the town at least).

Incident in Kewdale

Post by Magnus »

I saw afire appliance & LT - don't knoow if it was Belmont or Kewdale, on Abernethy road on way to work at 0530 this morning
They were outside the Westrac building just North of Kewdale road, they had half the road blocked off - couldn't see what the incident was.

Crash involving oil/fuel spill according to the radio news.

"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".
