Could be that when you've been putting fresh batteries in, the date and time was reset to some arbitrary starting point ... That'd be the first thing to check I reckon...
Nice pic though!

what is the triangular shaped object just below the tail?

Re: National Jet RJ70 @ International
Isn't that the brakes? Looks a bit like a BAe 146.donks wrote:what is the triangular shaped object just below the tail?

The panel sticking out of the tail I believe is the airbrake.

Speed brakes, also the APU exhaust is in there, need to open them to let the exhaust out

The aircraft is a RJ70 (equiv to a BAe 146-100) it has better avionics, better engines etc.
The triangle thing sticking out of the back is the AIRBRAKE which there is 2 of them. On top of the wings is the spoilers (also has been called speed brakes)

Re: National Jet RJ70 @ International
Actually thats not accurate. The airbake can remain closed, because the exhaust is forward of the airbrake.AO11912 wrote:yorky wrote:The panel sticking out of the tail I believe is the airbrake.

On hot days they do leave them open to assist in cooling.
