Girl aged 12 killed by hit and run in munster

Think you need to follow the news a bit better. If his reading was 1.065 wouldnt he be DEAD? More like 0.165 or similar.gkoutlis wrote:Guys, I agree with you all here - This shows how crap our Justice System really is!!!!![]()
I mean finding this guy not guilty on a account that he was not speeding or driving erratic - Doing this will sets the wrong example - That it IS ok to dring and drive - I mean this guy who hit the girl last year - Jess - Had a BA reading of 1.065 - Thats WAY over the limit.
What would happen if the judges grandchild was killed by a drink driver - he would throw him in the slammer even if the guy had a BA reading of 0.008....![]()
Our whole justice system needs to have a radical shake up - they keep letting these guys off the hook....!!!
And, the law got changed after that accident so in such instances, the burden on proof that they were NOT driving dangerously falls on the defendant. Oh, and the not guilty verdict was decided by a jury, not a judge.

the guy that handed himself into Police last night was charged.
Leaving the scene of an Accident
Failing to Stop after an accident
And, Failing to report the Accident
He was accompanied by his father who is a Police Officer into the station to hand himself in.
He faces court on Friday - and lets hope our Justice System throws him in the slammer for a long time.!!!

I'm no law guru...but from my limitted knowledge of the justice system, they don't seem to be serious offences.
The must not have had the evidence to charge him with the more serious stuff, like Dangerous Driving Causing Death

For all we know, she might have stepped out in front of him.. nothing I've heard so far indicates that he was driving dangerously?
Sticking up for our justice system perhaps? He was found not guilty by way of a jury, so thats the end of the story.Brad Michau wrote:fastlane whats your problem. you seem to be sticking up for both of the people. fuck them they stuffed up not our problem the guy should of went to jail and the latest one better go or its true the justice system is bullshit
To be honest, theres way too much comment on here on what people think should happen to those that have ALLEGEDLY committed a crime without knowing ANY of the facts - I guess thats the basis of my earlier post.
No-one here has the right to be judge, jury and executioner.
Hey, lets talk about real crims, like the bloke in the West 2 days ago [/stir]
Walks.
p.s. to those who think he has got away with serious charges (munster fella)......I remind thee of the story about the old bull and the young bull from the movie "Colors".
