That's sad, despite working in IT it took me a moment to get the bottom scanner, then again, I don't have to work with those types of scanners. I was just a little bit confused as to why an imaging company was making a radio scanner...then it clickedrobbage wrote: Right - Realistic Pro-28 scanner

For what it's worth, some stuff at work.
A) 5 x 900 MHz yagis (with attenuators - the portable devices at the other end could be as close as 15 metres away. They tend to get drowned out at full power). Vertical polarised to match the portables.
B) 6 RFI 9256 900 MHz frequency-hopping radio modems running at 19,200 baud (the attached equipment is slowish) one spare for Justin. Interface boards eventually result in USB that feeds a Mac PowerPC dual CPU with OSX 10.4.x and 22" widescreen (mmm widescreen). Each RFI talks to 3 portable devices.
C) Closer
All made in Malaga and sold world-wide. This stuff is also used in V8 supercars

Where can you buy these diamond antennas in perth? im trying to find a dealer in perth that is for amature radio dualband for 2m and 70cm bands.Steve wrote:Here's a pic of the Diamond D-777 antenna I put up today:
All I gotta do now is save up for enough RG-213 to goo all the way back to the house. At the moment I can listen to the scanner on the back verandah, which is quite pleasant in this weather.
(Thanks for hosting the pic Gavin!)
