Re: Standby
Hi pdxn, - i can only answer part one cause not sure what intercom is all about - You usually hear this, "Stand by Cars unless urgent on the phone(or on the Intercom)" - so standby would mean refrain from transmitting while i'm away....(something like thatpdxn wrote:What does it mean when VKI tells units to stand by unless urgent as he is on the intercom? Is the intercom the internal building intercom?
Thanks, but I knew that part already.
Just trying to figure out what the intercom is and what he is doing on it.
It's actually weird hearing "all vehicles standby unless urgent" because in the US if you hear it on the radio it means an Officer is dealing with a possibly dangerous situation and they want to keep the air clear in case the Officer needs help. For example if an Officer stopped a stolen vehicle you would hear that, or 10-3 (which means the same).
