Had the ALAS commodore go past me under NRC when I was doing the limit heading towards Canning SES for Vertical Rescue Training, entered the Roe Hwy at the on ramp before the Kenwick Link Off ramp :P

Watching movies while on a P1 maybe

Reading an article last night online they were comparing ambulance safety standards in Oz to the US (its like comparing alas to sja you totally cant do it)

Interesting Facts:

In the US a paramedic dies every week as a result off a MVA in the ambulance (No shit sherlock look how big the population is) and thats compared to our oz average off one every 10 years.

Your more likely to die in the back of a modular ambulance compared to a van OEM ambulance.

Squad bench seats are still deemed unsafe (but yet they still build them as is) but in oz having a forward facing attendant seat is still deemed unsafe when you have a set of draws in front off you.

Well always good to drive safely & to remember because its got lights and sirens doesn't mean it can defy gravity. That includes stopping distance, cornering, following distance, speed etc. [-o<

I must admit the 2 week Shawsett Advanced Ambulance Driving Course (Nationally Recognized Course) is worth doing, you learn allot about laws, safer driving practices & hazard awareness + more. :smt045
