Looks can be deceiving... One of the members there has told me that co-location is not always a good thing.

I was in kalgoorlie yeaterday and noticed that Kalgoorlie cfrs roll out with their pump and a 2.4. not a LT insight.
Is this a common thing there?
What gear is in kal?

I should carry my camera a bit more :(

Kal would have what most CFRS Country Brigades would have - a MPHR (aka "Half Life MP"), a LT, 2.4UT (single cab), possibly a marked dual-cab ute plus a number of trailers.

According to my sources they have a rescue trailer, foam bulki box trailer and a "rapid deployment" trailer.

Hope that helps. It's possible the LT was being serviced or otherwise unavailable. It could also have been that the firies chose to send the UT as it may have needed a larger water supply or pump than what the LT could provide.

I know a Firie who served at Kal (career), and I do remember him mentioning that they choose what they want to send, which often means pump and UT will roll, or insome circumstances, the UT will respond and the pump will stay in station.
