Yornup BFS, about 20km south of Bridgetown.
They run at least a 2.4 appliance.

Bridgetown Support BFS.
A newly formed Brigade since members of Bridgetown VFRS decided no longer be dual registered as a BFS brigade.
It has a canteen trailer.
The open door is the storage location for the spare LT for Bridgetown VFRS.

Awesome pics as always, Wes.

I'm saddened to see the dilapidated and condition and incredibly old-fashioned design of some of these buildings, though.

Most VFRS Brigades will have a Light Tanker. (Ballidu and Tammin are two that don't but they are now, or soon will be, Fire Service Brigades.) Some are lucky (needy) enough to get another LT for summer.

Apart from Kalamunda and Kwinana (who run MPs) the others run the following:
Light Pumpers (to be phased out) eg Bassendean, Guildford, Merredin & Bridgetown.
GPAs (Now referred to as HSR) eg Mundaring, Rockingham, Secret Harbour & Armadale.
2.4UT eg Kulin, Lake Grace, Kellerberrin & Mount Barker.
3.4UT eg Coolgardie, Wagin, Mount Magnet & Denmark.
Country Pumper (CP) eg Kalgoorlie, Carnarvon, Northam & Albany.
Hazmat/Structural/Rescue (HSR) eg Yanchep, Brunswick Junction, Dampier & Walpole.
At least a couple of Brigades in the northern Goldfields (eg Tom Price & Pannawonica) are special in that a mining company supplies their appliances. Both run M.A.N. midship Medium Pumpers.

HSR and CP are what FESA appear to be allocating to new Brigades. CPs to those towns requiring a boosting capacity, (CPs have a larger pump) and HSRs to the rest. Rescue Trailers are scheduled to be withdrawn but many Brigades raised the money to purchase them. This has put many noses out of joint.

Merredin are due for a new appliance - was to be a 2.4UT but will probably be a HSR. Their new station should be open in April.

Bridgetown are due for a HSR within the month - pity they don't have a place to keep it yet.

Wyalkatchem and Denham are due, if they haven't received them yet, for new HSRs.

Wes, remember there are a couple of other MPs out there. I think mainly up North. You have at least the following:
Half-life Acco at Karratha
White Scania at Pt Hedland

These are regional towns who have high risk, a reasonable number of jobs, and likely to have at least some staffing within the next decade.

Port Hedland isnt a VFRS Brigade though... !

FESA's website says it's a Volunteer Fire Service (VFS) Brigade.

On another note, it is not a part of the WAVFRS Association. Nor is Lancelin VFRS or Waroona VFS.

Hey Wes you forgot Roleystone as well They run a 2.4U and a summer lt Although they are pushing for Road Rescue as there part of the hyw has been classed as the second worst piece of road in the state , they also cover all the way to Beverly Borber .

Last i heard not having much luck with FESA granting them that though
wich seems strange as the area they cover

I didn't forget them as such. I could have listed all of the appliances for all the Brigades I knew but thought that would be a bit over the top. Hence I limited it to 4 Brigades each. :)

The updated WAVFRS Association site will hopefully have all the appliance details.

Cheers!

Yeah Wes, Pt Hedland would be unusual in that they would be the only Fire Service unit with a Medium Pump (or anything other than a tanker or light pumper and of course LTs). Also you did neglect Karratha :)

But yes, it was clear that for the other appliance type you were only giving examples.

Agreed - I didn't have Karratha on there as I didn't know it had one. I do now. Cheers Kyle. :D
