Parkerville Fires Aerial Map

Post by SamW »

We have just got our new GPS systems for our fire trucks, so I thought I would give them a try out. I drove around the edge of the fire, as much as I could and came up with this. It took a little cleaning up, but didnt take long. Google Earth is really easy to use, and its just a matter of clicking import files and then you have the basic image. Just to give you an idea of size, it is 3.6km from end to end, and it started on the 3rd of Jan and we are still doing patrols!

The fire started between Roland road and Brindle, where the first house was lost, and this is Parkerville's area.
