Spectacles Fire mop-up photos

Post by SamW »

Here are a few photos I took last night while I was at the spectacles fire doing some mopping up. Not the best pics, taken with my old 2 mega pixel camera.

Here is Wooroloo's new Light Tanker, they have only had it a few weeks.

The Back of East Swans 2.4R...It got bogged later in the night.

Parkerville Light Tanker at Parkerville station, with my lovely car in the background.

4 Light tankers assembled at the old Midland fire station, part of the northern task force. There were 8 of us all up.

And the last photo for now, 5 Light tankers and a2.4 all lined up.

I don't have any photos of the fire, as it was all out when we were there, but I do have a picture of some burnt trees...
Oh and a big thanks to the Salvos for the great feed, chicken burger for dinner followed by fruit salad with ice cream, then toasted ham and cheese sandwiches for the midnight snack.

Oh yes, the food is always very good, its the only reason I go to big fires

Yes we did go normal road down there. There was Parkerville LT, East Swan 2.4, Wooroloo Lt, Wanneroo Lt3 (I think) West Swan Lt, swan CFM, I can't remember the others, but I also saw Rolleystone 2.4+Lt, east gidge 1.4. There was also a duel cab FRS land rover light tanker broken down with 2 flat tires. And at the station there was a whole trailer of spare tires.

Nice shots.

Interesting to note Parkerville's LT has the FESA Fire Services logo and not a BFS logo on the door.

Yes, I heard Spectacles Control asking for 4 Landrover tyres.

Ahhh I thought that was a Wanneroo Light Tanker, hadn't seen any mundaring LT's with LT3 on the side, but Wanneroo do that that.

The Mandogalup Fire station is huge, and there were some many people there, SJA, Police, SES, Salvos and a refueling truck, plus lots of FESA cars. I was looking at your 3.4 and it looks like it got a little hot, all the stickers melted off.
A few pics from out the front of the station.

I think that's what happening to all new appliances since the ESL came in - our 3.4 has FESA also.

I was thinking that too meg, but the new Wooroloo Lt doesn't have that sticker. Maybe it is just us duel register brigades, Parky and Mt Helena with our structural capabilities?? I don't know really.

That could be too - didn't notice the sticker on Wooroloo's vehicle.

Sounds like that's the reason.
