Hey all, took these pics last weekend while i was in Adelaide. The last one is quite interesting!
SAPol - New Holden Rodeo with a metal 'pod'
SAPol - Holden VE Commodore
Australian Protective Services - Toyota HiLux. Taken at Adelaide airport (note strobe light for "airside" operations)
SAPol - Police Security Services - Holden VE Commodore. This vehicle appears to be a police vehicle, but without a 'light bar', parked outside South Australia's Government House.

No onion, no garlic, no chilli, no pepper... NO POINT!!
Commonwealth number plates aren't used very much any more - the Federal Govt handed responsibility for its fleet licensing to the states back in 2000. Hence the ABC cars and OB trucks that used to have 'Z' plates now have ordinary WA rego plates. There are a few exceptions, most notably the Statesmans and LTDs used by federal ministers and based in the states and of course 'C1' - the PM's number plate.
The '1WA xxx' series were originally allocated to the Department of Premier and Cabinet for state government ministerial vehicles, though these days the ministerial cars just have standard issue plates. The 1WAs are generally now used on State Government fleet vehicles allocated to the Department of Premier and Cabinet, usually driven by public servants who have a vehicle as part of their package.
A few more pics, from this years quick trip to Adelaide.
Snapped this one of an Ambulance going P1 through South Tce.
What in incredibly bizarre coincidence. These two SAPol cars are the exact same 2 cars as in the original pics above, parked in the same bays, in front of the same station 1 year later
