ALAS Transporter

Post by donks »

I was down in Collie all weekend for the Drift Australia drifiting competition. Advance Life have the contract for all CAMS and WASCC events. Just to let you all know our drift team did EXTREMELY well even though we had a few setbacks

I was having a bit of a chat to the fellow from ALAS and he said they have a GMC on the way.. im assuming its ex VIC ambulance or something?

anyway here are 2 pics i managed to snap before my battery died in the camera.

Maybe the GMC you're talking about is the one in the St John Ambulance section? Or maybe not.

just had a read of the SJA section.. sounds like the same one.. The ALAS sprinters have white writing over blue... if its the same one im sure it will be making an appearance at the next race meet in a few weeks...

All alas new vehicles are based on the same style decals that the victorian ambulance service now use on there sprinters and limited f350 vehicles NOT exact to detail but same design and colour to a point.

Unfortunatley if you google gmc ambulance and read the reviews 2 paramedics have died in these vehicles in victoria and are frequent with brake and cooling problems.

These vehicles are now cheap and are pretty much been given away medicone who now do first aid ambulance services have one in there fleet too but are done in sja colours.

Medicone and Alas are two seperate companies Medicone is run by ex paramedics from america and also provide ambulance training to private services mine sites etc.
