Someone was on the wrong track for sure when they mentioned AIMS ;-)

DOC ESG "Emergency Support Group" is the owner and user of the vehicles in the top three shots. ESG are used for three main roles, Prisoner Escape, Hostage rescue and High Risk escorts.
No they are not known as 'Supermax' but are 'Ballistic Escorts'. As it sounds, Ballistic escorts are carried out by heavily armed and contact drill trained ESG Officers.

All ESG Vehicles are equipped with emergency lighting as well as sirens. They may also operate under Urgent Duty Driving at their discretion alone.

Cheers :-)
Thats exactly what I said in my post "Crewman" regarding the use of these vehicles. I mentioned AIMS (aka GSL) in the role that they carry out (Low Risk Transport) and never refered to them as having a link with these vehicles (DOJ/DOC or whatever they now name themselves!)...

I think that you will still find that prisoners being conveyed by this form of transport (Prisons) will be classed as "Super Max" when they do the paperwork up for transport...

Cheers, CC

As mentioned before the term "Supermax"is not used in the state of WA as either a jail, type of escort or a classification of prisoner. Crewman is on the money as to what its about. As a side note i dont think this is the place to be discussing the workings of the ESG , as that would be the same as mentioning how trg go about there duties.

Obviously your the expert "Bomber" and I obviously don't know what I am talking about. If you wish to mislead the readers then thats fine. I won't bother to post anything on here again that is usual information for the remainder of the readers - I will get them to ask the expert...

As stated previously, speak with any of the staff at Casuarina and they will confirm what im saying is correct in relation to the classification of the prisoners for high security escorts....

Thanks CC, however staff at Casuarina, unless ESG are unlikely to have any idea on what goes on.
