Well as I am one of the parents of our 3 kids my kids know that 7.30 is bedtime.Doesnt matter whether it is light or dark.It was really nice though last night as the kids went out and played on the trampoline till about bedtime then went to bed.I dont understand what the difference is with a start time.I started at 7.00 last week and again this week.Apart from a touch darker and a bit cooler it was fine.As for the 300 pcs, isnt it automaticly done. All the ones at work (some 12000) were done when we came in.I am not a pc guru though so not sure.

They are usually automatically updated, but you have to deploy the update and test it. Also random PCs need to be checked to make sure the update rolled out smoothly.
Lets not get started on the mayhem the snap decision to start DST in WA last year caused!!
I should've!!!!!!!!!!
It's just a pain doing it, not so much the PC or a clock but with everything else you spend half your time finding out where the tool is to change the time.
pfft to scripting, use group policy Microsoft have released an MSI. If you're updating the curriculum side Gav then it will depend on how you've structured your curriculum server . Only Outlook is having problems.

WSUS for the win!
Yeah. Computers are easy. Deploy the appropriate patch, and test a few. It's everything else that really makes it annoying - DVD recorders and Set-top boxes especially. (Many don't have an option for GMT+9 )
There you go, haven't used WSUS for ages I'd forgotten about it, too used to Radia and Scripts doing everything...admittedly though I've left the digital clock on my watch as normal, and my pda is yet to be changed to +9.

So it appears the main problem for those opposed is they have to change a few time pieces.Wow if that is all then daylight savings should stay.My eyes have been opened to the agaisnt debate. Thanks all.
