AG203

Post by gkoutlis »

Last night I helped an elderly person who collapsed on the corner of Oxford and Newcastle Street - Leederville - he apparantly collapsed and was unconcious, i ran from where i was having dinner across to render first aid - as I hold a Senior First Aid certification.

While I was conducting cardiac compressions, AG-203 pulled up and helped me out. It all happened so quickly - Glad they could help me out. The old man was revived and taken to hospital by SJA.

A few questions though - AG-203 - Isn't that a traffic car? and; was AG-203 involved in some sort of accident in the past week or so, as the right hand side (passenger door) of the police car - VZ Holden Commodore Sedan - had no markings or the police stripes - does this mean it was involved in an accident resulting in a new door being fitted to the car?

Good Morning Hero,

Yep AG203 is a traffic car and it's been like that for months now, pretty sad in my opinion.

Send me your email address on a PM and i'll send you some recent pics of it if you want..

Good work Mr G.

cheers

Tom

Thanks doogues,

I expect nothing in return, just at the right place at the right time - the time of the incident was 7:45pm. Around that time frame.

Just lucky AG-203 was in the area patrolling around Leederville. One officer kept the crowd away while calling SJA and the other one helped me continue Resuss.

Great work George!..As a senior first aider and defibrillator operator I know how satisfying it is to have those skills when needed....skills we hope we never need to use mind you.Im pretty sure i heard that one last night , VKI was looking for anyone available...asked WT901 which was nearest though they were at crib...then the AG team grabbed it on the way by. Top job by all.

Always RX,

It is satisfying when the outcome from it all is positive. I have only had ,y Senior First Aid + Resuss certificate for 2 months, all though we hope not to ever use those skills, its great when something happens and you can render assistance until qualified and trained persons take over like SJA or Police.

I did have the scanner on me at the time, but making sure this elderly man was ok always takes priority. I even had a comment by one of the officers from AG-203 saying its "handy" to have a scanner - if used in a correct mannor.

But it was a job well done by the AG-203 team and SJA
