We are a funny bunch aren't we, us humans. :)

Sometimes we just don't know when enough is enough though...

I think listening to background music in ANY emergency vehicle is a great idea, but it's just plain stupidity to crank the music when you have all the lights and sirens going and are trying to navigate through traffic...

Ok I think we've established that most of the time music played at a level where you can still hear everything, is acceptable, as there are enough distractions that can put you on edge, the music could even help calm you enough to make the right decision at the right time. We've had a couple of suggestions as to what people like to listen to en route. Maybe thats what we should stick to as we're less likely to have grass hoppers changing which side of the fence they're on. :lol: :wink:

Thats it. Afterall for volunteers especially, (Well for all emergency workers really) its fair that we play some tunes when appropprite. Its appart of life..

I think these two songs would improve police performance to the point where everyone would go up a level.

priority 3 drivers would become priority 2
priority 2 becomes priority 1 ect

I remember watching a documentry on the war on Iraq and in the documentry one of the soilders said they have a cd player in the tank and one of the songs they played quite alot was The Roof is on Fire by The Bloodhound Gang.

when responding to a jumper i like "free falling" from tom petty

or "suicide is painless" aka the mash theme, for, well thats kinda obvious
