Update thread for Country channels

Post by vk6hgr »

Hi all.

Going through our frequency list for the country as it's a tad out of date :-)

Could someone living in Bunbury tell me - is ch14 is still the main channel? What's on channel 56? The channel 10 link to VKI appears to be not used anymore. True?

Mount Barker (25), Northam (43), Cunderdin (24), Kellerberrin/Doodlakine (25), Merredin (27), Wickepin (3), Williams (7), Boyup Brook (23) and Bridgetown (24) all worked when I was there.

Gavin,

When I was down in Bunbury for Christmas, they were still using channel 14, however, I just came across something that was never, ever there before. (Note the date-approved)

It's on the same mast as Ch14, but it's a totally different freq. It's a repeater too.

Hmm, so yeah, not sure what is on Ch56, maybe just due to demand they've installed a 2nd repeater.

I'll confirm for you when I am down there in a couple of weeks - if nobody else beats me to it.
