 Polair 62 ain't a shitty plane mate - don't bag it if you haven't seen it... I've taxied behind this bird a number of times (and followed in for landing and take-off) at Jandakot - and the equipment she has onboard is impressive.

So it doesn't hover like the chopper, big deal... She still is capable of filling in the Role of Air Support for the Police on the ground when she is required.... The pilots and crew on board are just experienced as the crew from Polair 61.

Im finding out as we speak were the plane originally came from - as for the other comment - Surely you cant call something shitty coz you dont hear it on the scanner - Actually, Polair 62 don't do much radio comms with VKI over the assigned radio frequency's - From what i've talked to the Pilot of her - they actually use an Air Frequency that goes straight to VKI - for Airwing Support operations - Don't ask me why Polair 62 is different to Polair 61 Radio comms - but thats the way it is - Yes you may here 62 transmit sometimes on VKI - to advise them that they are in the air - but thats about it....

I think last year I posted about an incident at the Claremont trainstation - After a hot burg - GE units called for airsupport to track POI's heading to the station - I did post - hearing 62 saying she was inbound, and in the end - POI's where caught with the assistance of 62.

Im pretty sure she flew past the Swan River early last night - I was driving at the time Northbound on the Fwy, and am sure it was Polair61 - so I guess its safe to assume, she is flying again, but maybe not on Operational duties just yet... Maybe tonight?

Im sure AlwaysRX will correct me and the other guys - But as far as I am aware, they have a crew roster - so Im assuming they are on standby doing Admin work for most of the day/night... and do a crew change when ever that is...

Sounded like she was up and running, heading north over Currambine earlier and then back again, just now, heading south.
