The only West Australian entry i can see for that frequency is Plutonic mine operations in Meekatharra. Perhaps the link is only on HF ? any ideas Gav?
I searched Herne Hill and there is a listing there for the West Australian Repeater Group at a site called Tic hill. Not for that frequency though. There are other amateur radio frequencies running to and from that site so Im guessing it is one of these. I have put it in the banks to scan although im not ideally located.

It's a HF to VHF link that's on 24 hours a day.Always RX wrote:The only West Australian entry i can see for that frequency is Plutonic mine operations in Meekatharra. Perhaps the link is only on HF ? any ideas Gav?
You won't find the link in the ACMA database, it's a class-licensed LIPD device running at 20mW.

You'd be surprised. It gets out really well!Bonez wrote:Ahh, well this explains it then. So what sort of range does it cover? Probably not a chance in hell in me picking it up in this neck of the woods eh ?
