G'day MrG,
Did anyone else see that turkey on ch7 News who did the lead story live from Perth Airport?
Talk about over-hyping a situation....That reporter was a total idiot who clearly hasn't got a clue about aviation.
I have the greatest admiration for the pilot and the job he did bringing the plane down safely but this reporter took the cake...
His comment about "police were expecting the worst" was the priceless.

Yeah I heard about him, My dad called up the flight school where I was, as I was in the air around this time, and airspace got congested at one stage... - Anyways, by the time I got back - the guys told me what happend - so yeah - i think the reporter went abit too far at this stage - the Pilot was cool, calm and managed the emergency in a way all pilots should - Top Job on him.... Cheers Tom....Tom wrote:G'day MrG,

I live just near where all that happened and I can tell ya`s the chase was westbound on Wellard road where they turned left into Runnymede Gate and into the new " Village at Wellard" subdivision. I saw the vehicle doing lightspeed down Runnymede with VK102 in hot pursuit. The POI was hammering the thing for all it was worth. I lost sight of it all as it went further down Runnymede but I believe it turned right into Charleville mews and then crashed at the corner of Charleville and Sonning lane. The POI`s baled out and legged it across bushland over to Leda . AV708 was the attending sergeant. FESA also attended the crash scene to make safe and treat the spills. I think Leda residents reported seeing the POI(s) being picked up by an early model red falcon on Dalrymple drive Leda. It sounded like police had a fair idea who the jokers may have been and who they associate with. I hope they get these dickheads before they kill someone.Markmywords wrote:
