Earlier tonight i had to pick up one of my kids from Forrestfield. As i was driving along Roe Hwy, just south of the Gt East Bypass, there was a very stong smell of smoke. I couldn't see a 'glow' or any activity anywhere. Does anyone know if there was a fire in that area earlier on??

Sorry no updates-on the welshpool job
BUT I had a fire in my street though this afternoon, someones garden was on fire then the vacant block caught alight then my rear hedge which has been dry inside for as long as i can remember and went up pretty quick.
By the time the firies showed it was pretty much out my poor hedge haha the SO came out the back and said just use the rack and wet it down then they left to go attend to the fire in the vacant lot.
The guy 4 doors down next who has a hydrant mark on his kerb actually had a pallet of bricks parked right over the hydrant outlet i saw the SO stop at his house and have a word to him about it then he started to move the bricks one by one off the pallet.

Common sense should have told that guy, that the pallet shouldn't have been there. I know whenever i drive past the hydrants on the way home I make sure they're accesable etc.Markmywords wrote:

thanks for that, scanner is in the other room and only listen to channel 8 for WAPOL. still trying to work out what channels best to listen to for the firies.JG-103 wrote:3rd alarm scrub.. cuttler rd x solomon rd jandakot.
i could smell the smoke, went outside and couldnt work out where from, then a minute later two helitanks flew over, and kinda worked out somewhere around jandakot, just from direction they were going and pretty much only place that way, close enough to have bush to burn
