I swear this car is the same one that followed me up Wellard road late last week with two uniformed bods on board...it just looked a little out of the ordinary and as such I remember having a long look at it as it went past... the Mandurah Toyota plate surround and Reece hitch rings bells with me for sure.

The Kwinny Traffic Fella's Have an Unmarked, Same as that... Just thought i'd throw it out. lol

It's not a police issue deck-blaster, unless it's a new type that I haven't seen yet. Some kind of LED device with white diodes.

In all fairness this guy could be a 'pilot' (trucks escort), just a bit coincidental me thinks.

Secureforce ( ) used to have that burgundy VY I which had orange front and rear mounted lights.

Of all places to park on Hay St and this bloke has to park outside the Kings.

He's hardcore at the very least!!

Doesnt look like he would have got away with parking there for much longer. The parking inspector obvioulsy didnt think he was a cop either.

ummmm, i think he was pointing out the chalk on the tyre that the parking inspector would have put there to test his 5 minutes. Lets hope he got a parking fine at the very least.............

The standard rims also give it away.

The two glassmount antennas are standard mobile phone types as well, usually unmarked cars will have 2 mobile and 1 two-way antenna or one of each type.

Wouldn't the chalk be more towards the top of the tyre though? more convenient for the inspector?

the parkies chalk like that so they can check their chalk marks from a vehicle (without getting out) because some of them are lazy creatures.

If you chalk at the top of a tyre you have to get out of the car and check. Chalking at the bottom means you can drive past and have a look quickly, then print the ticket in the car and walk across whack the ticket on and walk back to the car and drive off.

It is also interesting to note the position of the front sun shield above driver. Often they have identification on the sun shield and flip it forward like that so parking officers can identify them.

I would like to know the C of R expiry on the vehicle as well. Apparently all unmarked police cars C of R expire in the same month because the do the fleet registrations in bulk. ( A police officer told me this once, don't know if it is true)

Dunno about police cars, but my previous employer had a pretty large fleet of cars and they all expired at the end of March. So it didn't matter when a car was supplied new (and the old one traded), they'd get a sticker with the number "3" on.

So it's certainly possible that Police (and other WA Govt) cars fall under the same system.

I have seen a couple of cars like these so assume they are police cars, i wont mention what public carpark but those in the service will know which one im talking about-no pursuit rims just normal hubcap covers on them some with calais 17 inch rims.

It looks legit to me if not who ever took the pic can always go to there local station and just say look this is the registration number of a vehicle i saw and it looks dodgy.

MMW, trust me it ain't a police car.

Goverment cars have a standard to be maintained too, eg only using Holden genuine parts when servicing. Standard tyres for a VY/VZ Ecec are Bridgestoone RE88/92's that one has some cheap and nasty Khumos.

CVR expires in the 7th Month just had a play with photshop and it's visible.

Interesting also appears to have some mounted in the rear windscreen also, although not mounted in the usual WAPOL place.

Here's another close-up of the windscreen area, nothing on the sun-visor.

I wonder if the yellow dots either on the deck-blaster unit, indicate the colour it flashes.

thanks tom i stand corrected !!!!! those close up pics make the car alot dodgier

i think someone mentioned "ebay" deckblaster some guy in W.A sells them on EBAY there home made but the ones he was selling had a cheap strobe filament so dunno if he has changed them to LED's but his deckblasters had 3 suction cups same style as in that clear pic of toms.

I dont know the legalities but if its an "amber" light is it still legal to just have sitting there u mean if it was red/blue then i understand

Either way legal/illegial wont be long before someone pulls him up for it.
