Bring on digital!!!
About 3 weeks ago an idiot kept holding the PTT button as units were recieving jobs and calling for help in Northbridge.
Vehicles were powerful enough to cut over him but all the beats with portables could not transmit. It shut down comms for about 45 minutes. Had VKI techs trying to work out what was wrong, they worked out it was not a technical problem but everytime a beat called he would hold the PTT button.
Very dangerous..

It's a shame that the techs can't triangulate his position and then he could get a nice visit and some personal attention from the Police since he seems to be so fascinated with them ...
(And I know that the main reason that probably hasn't happened already is that by the time they get set up, he's stopped transmitting...)

Dont know how long it takes for them to set up but he was on for a while that night while they were working out the problem.Zebedee wrote:Agreed.Robo wrote:Very dangerous..

We had to wait with a prisoner for 25 mins cause we could not get on to call an arrest van.
Gogo you good thingBonez wrote:If he lives up in the Joondalup area then i'll set my scanner up on the input to the police repeater and monitor it. I have not yet heard this person myself but if you guys are sure it's the same guy and he's up this way then i'll see if I can pick him up on simplex

I'm sure once he's located we can well... call on the Delta boys
