Thats what happened to the guy who let a control burn get out of control on casella pl in wandi, was a 3rd alarm.
AND........ they stopped that fire at a property that had been burned off just before the fireseason like just this time of year and thats probably what stoped it going ina calm reserve so nerrr..!

I think I saw you taking these shots on your phone? I was taking shots at the same time. The block to the left of this shot was burnt a year ago as an HR burn, and therefore was hardly touched. Also the same for the house below. Not that it would have helped this house, due to the Aircon spreading the fire through the house very quickly.
This photo wasn't taken by me. It was taken by another member of my bridgade. I was on the second shift and spent my night dragging a hose up and down the hill from a 2.4 dumping foam onto logs and stags.
Probably won't be able to share the WAPOL pics until New Years, when I get home. Dialup access is killing me!
Also, RE: the quiet weekend. We had a small one on Saturday arvo, which was going VERY well, just lucky that we had good access to it, and got to it quickly.

we also had a call on sunday ha da full crew for all vehicles but it was a false alarm when the first vehicle arrived...someone cutting firebreaks which shouldve been done 17 days ago!!!
