Just heard this on the news

A Volunteer fire-fighter has died after falling through the roof of the South Yunderup and Ravenswood fire station.

Ronald Robert McBride, 66, of South Yunderup was trying to repair the station's wind damaged roof about 5pm on Wednesday when he fell 4m.

SES volunteers tried to revive Mr McBride until ambulance officers arrived but he died at the scene.

Apparently he was the Captain of the Brigade and was assisting the SES at the time.

A very sad day indeed.
