WARSUG Christmas meet?????
WARSUG Christmas meet?????
After discussions with Donga, we thought maybe its time we arranged a final meet for the year also seeing as Xmas is fast approaching (already!). Suggesting a BBQ somewhere, BYO and probably involving partners/family? Probably late November/early December? Your thoughts?
Also considering some of us may bring kids, what about a Santa appearance? Any volunteers from the board to take on the role or have/know how to get a suit?

That one sounds good... I know they have BBQ areas, shaded and with seating that we can reserve. Plenty of distractions for the kids too And I don't mind coming from the depths of Rocky if there's going to be plenty to keep them occupiedwesternwedgey wrote:Whiteman Park

Hey guys, sorry I won't be there, I'll be in Broome by then but I'll make a suggestion. The 4WD club I'm with had a meeting at Preston Beach. It's been upgraded with new BBQ's and an awesome playground for kids plus it's about 10 meters away from a very safe beach. Even if you don't get there for an Xmas BBQ, go have a look one weekend, you'll be impressed. If you own a 4WD then you can also take it onto the beach to get away from any crowds or go fishing.
Anyhow, have a great Xmas where ever you are!

Whitman Park has limited public transport but it as a good location for a get together. I am sure if people are going to use public transport with notice we can organize a spot close to public transport and perhaps arrange a maxi taxi to take us to whiteman park from that location and split the fare amongst the members in the taxi I know also that the 336 from Morley heads past the Lord street entrance of Whiteman Park so thats an option as well.
