Re: Enquries Channel
Most likely, unless the car is on a traffic op. You'd be listening to channel 58 in the northern suburbs.pinkbosseslady wrote:Is someone able to clarify this for me..

Millsy,
I'll answer both questions here:
If you look at this link and check out WA Police August from memory, I have posted a pic of VK103 brand new and yet to be delivered.

JG-103,
Technically speaking NO it's not illegal, as long as you are not preventing the vehicle from undertaking it's lawful duty or you are not taking intricate pictures of the cars, such as communications gear it's fine.
If you see a car parked on the side of a public road to the best of my understanding that's fine.
Although I think you'd find yourself in a spot of bother if you stuck your head over the rear wall of say Curtin House with your camera.
Under the law you can photograph anything that's in public view.
Most coppers are cool, I don't take too many pics of unmarked cars and they are boring in my opinion.
I saw UQ107 yesterday in Maylands, explained to the SGt driving that I take pics of Emergency vehicles and he was cool with it.
oz_police_vehicles which is a yahoo group is the one we all post pics on, a quick search and you'll find it.

Cool, thanks for that Tom, yeah, here in kwinana, we are a bit short, the only operating car we have a night is the trusty ol VK103 rodeo, along wit one or two AV, but VK103 generally stays only in Kwinana. VK101 is a commodore, VK102 is a commodore and thats all we have, VK103 is always on shift, your lucky if you see the others.
