Best Frequencys

Post by pinkbosseslady »

What are some of the most active frequencys to listen to. I can only have 10 channels and would like the best ones.

My best one at the moment is
468.350

any other suggestions?

Depends where you live :-) I used to program my 10 channel scanner with police this way:

1. Ch 26
2. Ch 23
3. Ch 9
4. Ch 58
5. Ch 21
6. Ch 17
7. Ch 48
8. Ch 54
9. Ch 34
10. Ch 8

With just the standard rubber duckie antenna you'll probably only be able to get your area's channel and perhaps one or two of the stronger channels like 8 or 34. To listen to all of the main Perth channels, you really need an outdoor antenna.

In Morley when im visiting mates in can usually get wapol chan 46 quite clearly 468.9750. I dont know if it interests you but qantas and virgin ground ops are easy to get in morley too on 463.000 and 464.6250 respectivley. 490.6250 Gets u Path transit in that area and 419.8500 is the bayswater train station freq for CSA`s and Trainriders etc. oh and of course 484.500 for chubb patrols in bayswater city etc.

I agree with Walks, Southside (ch 2/8 ) usually always has something happenin on it and if it doesnt I check Freo (ch 12/16/47) next.
Sometimes theres some good stuff on the Northside/ Midland channel aswell (ch 46/49/54).
If you haven't already, try get a better antenna than the one that generally comes with scanners like a 'Mobile One Bandspanner' form Dick Smiths/ Tandy's.. :)
