Perth Royal Show 2005

Slightly off-topic I know.

Does anybody out there know if WAPOL are having any displays at the Royal Show this year?

In past years I recall seeing the TRG in action, precision driving displays and K9 units being put through their paces.

I've checked the net and haven't come across anything yet.

Fingers crossed they will make an appearance, would be great publicity and possibly good for recruiting purposes owing to the high amount of young people that visit the show each year.

Any help anybody??

I looked through the Royal Show Guide that came with Saturdays West Australian, from what I gather there will be appearances by the Mounted Police 'put through through their paces', The WA Police Pipe Band and Constable Care shows daily (Lol good ol' Constable Care, I remember him visiting my primary school heh..)
Other than that theres always the Police Pavillion, I always find their displays pretty interestin.
Not sure if that helps at all..

Yippee more shots of TM107 (yet again.......)

Being an Emergency vehicle enthusiast I was personally hoping for some interesting vehicles to role up, like some TRG displays with POLAIR on the old speedway track, something entertaining like that. Some TK cars would of also been nice.

I would of thought a major event like the Royal Show would be a huge publicity spinner, sometimes I just don't understand WAPOL's logic. Police displays will always attract a high level of public interest.

I think one of the best displays I saw a few years back was the old armed hold up offenders being followed by Polair into the arena and then TRG + K9 doing the take out. Quite impressive.

I guess it would take a fair bit of organisation but as stated would be a big publicity spinner at the show. We can all look at pictures in the pavillion but people want to see the 'action' side.

Just to change the convo above a slight bit...
But does anybody kno wat chan the WAPS will Be Running off this year at the show... See lots of them walking round and the amount of stuff that goes down after the show be good to listen to....

Ive heard them using channel 44 for Perth Royal Show.
