The Hills Amateur Radio Group swap meet is on Sunday April 12th this year.
There is a new bigger venue this year with space for more tables and room to browse more freely.
On Sunday 12th of April the club will hold its popular HARGfest bring and buy sale but this year it will be bigger, better and more comfortable. This year, HARGfest is moving to a new, larger venue – the Lesmurdie Hall at 96 Gladys Road, Lesmurdie. This is a modern hall with reverse cycle air conditioning and is much bigger than the one at the HARG clubrooms; it has a good kitchen and several outdoor covered areas suitable for eating lunch or chatting with friends. Sellers at 9.00 am, buyers at 10.00, raffle at 1.00 pm and close at 2.00. Food and drink available for purchase as usual. Gladys road runs off Welshpool Road just after the BP Service Station and just before Lesmurdie Road.
This year thanks to the generosity of Ian Garnett VK6LCT at Timberden Plant Hire we have a Yaesu FT-7900R 50Watt dual band mobile as the first prize and a Yaesu FT-60R dual band hand held for the second prize. Third prize is an IRODA 100 Watt gas soldering iron donated by Altronics. We will have the usual door prizes thanks to Mark at TET-Emtron.
