I have been in a position to see officers of WAPOL use force through my previous employment in the Security Unit at Royal Perth Hospital (where we handcuffed people with all sorts of broken bones quite regularly, as per SOPs) and also quite a far bit when i was a transit officer.

So please dont think im coming from a entirely civilian perspective.

I understand that they may do it different there. However alot of the things i mentioned are of international standard and are employed in most police forces around the world.
